At Bowman Place we pride ourselves in our well-trained staff. This includes our wellness staff who are in the building twenty-four hours a day. We have RN’s, LPN’s, and of course our many Licensed Nurses’ Aides, in addition to our Household Help staff.
We get to know new residents through an in-person interview which results in a personalized assessment and from that information we develop our signature Personalized Caring Plan (PCP). This is the roadmap to caring for our residents which allows us to know such things as what time a resident might enjoy their shower, how many medications they are taking and when, as well as how they want their day to go. Do they want to enjoy all meals in the dining room or sleep late some days and have breakfast in their apartments? Whatever is needed gets recorded and scheduled so that we can provide the right services at the right time.
Our signature Personalized Caring Plan (PCP) is the roadmap to caring for our residents. Needs are recorded in order to provide specific custom service.
Some of the many services our wellness department oversees are:
- Personal assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming and medication management
- Escort to meals and activities if needed
- Professional medication management
- Wellness management and stay-fit programs
- Coordination of advanced infection control systems
- Help with housekeeping and laundering of linens
- State-of-the-art emergency response system
- Assistance in coordinating healthcare needs such as dental, podiatric care and medical appointments
- Short term respite care to support caregivers
- Coordination between staff and rehab, visiting nurses, hospice and physicians
