Our Restaurant-Quality, Farm-to-Table, Dine Anytime Program
Gathering with family and friends around a dining table, sharing stories and laughs between bites, is one of life’s greatest pleasures. At Bowman Place, we celebrate that every day with delicious, scratch-made meals prepared by our talented in-house chefs.
Our unique Anytime Dining program allows residents to enjoy meals from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with no fixed meal windows. Whether a resident has an appointment, prefers an early breakfast, or enjoys a leisurely dinner, we’re always ready to serve. Our ever-changing menu features daily lunch and dinner specials alongside an all-day menu shaped in part by our Resident Food Committee, which meets monthly to provide input on favorite dishes and new menu ideas. Every menu is reviewed by our on-staff dietitian to ensure meals are both nourishing and satisfying. Our dietitian also works closely with our culinary team to accommodate modified and special diets — including puréed, mechanical soft, diabetic-friendly and other dietary needs — so every resident can enjoy meals that are safe, satisfying and tailored to them.
Fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables are sourced from local farms just minutes from Bedford. And when available, we harvest herbs from our own summer garden.
Great food starts with flavor—and at Bowman, nutrition is never an afterthought. Specialty programs such as Power Bites offer dementia-friendly finger foods, while homemade low-sodium soups, fresh salads, and house-baked treats round out every menu because life’s too short to skip dessert. A hydration station is always available to keep residents refreshed throughout the day.
In addition to our daily dining offerings, residents look forward to our popular monthly themed buffet events that bring excitement, variety and community to the table. Favorites include Greek Night, Lobster Day, Lunar New Year celebrations, Oktoberfest, and Cinco de Mayo, along with other seasonal culinary experiences throughout the year. One of the most anticipated events of the year is our annual Christmas Holiday Party, where residents, families and staff come together to enjoy festive decorations, seasonal favorites, holiday cheer, and cherished traditions. These special events give residents and their families even more opportunities to gather, celebrate and enjoy exceptional food together.
Meals at Bowman come with a view. Our sun-filled dining room overlooks a wooded hillside where deer are a frequent and welcome sight.
Celebrating a birthday, anniversary or special milestone? Our dining room easily accommodates private parties and family gatherings.
